Why is Limomonane Jam so well-liked?

The fruit is not boiled. This preserves the integrity of the fruits making for a fresher tasting product. As an added bonus this product is low in sugar! It has NO preservatives, coloring, or sulpur dioxide. It provides a healthy alternative, especially for people who are conscious of their diet. A uniquely Lesotho treat that is a must try. This jam also has a sentimental value for Basotho and reminds us all of the good times visiting grandmas in the villages who would dish out the long preserved fruits for their grandchildren. Preserved foods are usually for special occasions. Limomonane is here to make everyday a special day for all of us. This is what makes it such a great gift.

Why does Limomonane Jam taste so much better?

There are three theories as to why Limomonane Jam is so valued. The number one is the passion Basotho/Africans have for their preserved fruits. The second has to do with the fruit. Only quality fruit is used. Also, fruits grown in Lesotho benefit from the long cold winters. Winter allows the ground to recuperate, while the short, intense growing season is ideal for exotic fruits.

The third is the argument between glass and tin containers. Quality Jam has always been packaged in a jar. This allows a fresher-tasting and better quality-controlled jam, possibly attributable to the prevention from exposure to the various light sources and their harmful effects.

Who supplies you with fruits?

Limomonane Jam buys organic fruits from local farmers, most of which are found at Sehlabeng in the district of Maseru. These fruits are sourced from reliable farmers who do not use chemicals on their trees. The distance from the farms to the factory is also short ( 30kms to be specific) to ensure freshness of the fruits.

What is the best before date on Limomonane Jam?

The benefit of purchasing a product in a jar is it is truly sealed. It does not allow gasses to pass through the containers. We recommend consuming our products within 1 year of the production date. Also, make sure to refrigerate it after opening it.

Is there a volume discount when I order more?
